The plot has advanced since the last time we talked. Right now, Alyss and Evalyn are on their way to get reinforcements. They have been lowered to the shore and are currently being helped by a Kikori. He's helping the girls into the kayak, which is holding very well with the water. They denied his help at first, but then he says, "You have to do yourselves. You can do tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. I do today." Implying that he wants to help them, which he did. Before the girls were even allowed to go on the trip, the men had to discuss it. They had to convince each other to let them go. In the end, Will let Alyss go, promising that they will miss each other a lot, and Evalyn convinced Horace to let her go through charm. Now they are on their way across the lake to get reinforcements. Thank you for reading.
Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 20th, READING LOG #1, TOPIC CHOICE 3 - Plot
So far, in the plot of "Ranger's Apprentice: The Emperor of Nihon-Ja - Book #!0" by John Flanagan, the 6 main characters are deciding to let two people (the princess (Formally known as Princess Casandra, but has an alias name as Evanlyn) and a royal courier (Formally know as Lady Alyss), leave in a kayak to go over seas from a place in Japan back to Castle Redmont to get reinforcements to fight the upcoming war in the spring. It is currently winter and the heavy snowfall in the mountains where our heroes resign in will be enough protection from the incoming swarm of Japanese army. They currently have the place sealed and trapped, helping injured and abandoned soldiers and training them to resist to forward party. So far, they have the escape routes clear and safe. This will be the escape route for our heroes that will go back to Castle Redmont for reinforcements. The 4 other heroes, 2 Rangers,(expert Ranger Halt and his apprentice Will), A Redmont Knight (known as Horace), and a Desert Warrior friend(known as Selethen). The two girls are showing the others how safe the kayak will be for the trip. They really want to go and they feel up for the challenge. I will continue reading and make another log soon.
